Easyling is an AppEngine Application, running on top of Google's excellent App Engine and EdgeCache (CDN) infrastructure to host and serve your translated websites.
What is Google App Engine?
Launched in 2008, it is different from most other cloud systems: neither IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service, e.g., Amazon EC2) nor SaaS (Software-as-a-Service, e.g., Salesforce). It is something in-between and ushered in the era of PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service). Instead of a fixed application (SaaS) or raw hardware (IaaS), App Engine managed infrastructure for users.
